In the Crisis and Wellness Nurseries, Childcare Providers are assigned up to 5 children each shift (8 during overnight hours) and are primarily responsible for all aspects of their care, including providing developmentally-appropriate educational enrichment activities and bathing/toileting/hygiene needs. Update for 11-21-16 – Our next volunteer orientation will likely be held during the spring of 2017. Interested childcare volunteer applicants must be at least 21 years of age, and be able to commit to a weekly volunteer shift of 2 or 3 hours (9:30 am to 12:30 pm, 3 pm to 6 pm, or 6 pm to 8 pm). Done in a Day Projects

Volunteer

“Done in a Day” projects are great team-building opportunities for businesses and are fun for groups of friends. These one-day only (Monday through Friday) projects are a good fit for groups of 8 to 10 people, ages 18 and above. Projects depend on our current needs. High School Student Service Project

A three day service learning program is open to Junior and Senior High School students who wish to experience the many facets of working in a non-profit organization. Students engage in a series of activities in every department of the agency. The program begins at 10am and ends at 4pm each day, and transportation to and from Providence House is required.
