Childcare Volunteers at Providence House must be at least 21 years of age. In addition, they must complete documentation
required by Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS), including a volunteer application, medical statement,
TB test, a background check, proof of residency and three positive references. Volunteers must also meet the training
requirements set forth by ODJFS in compliance with our licensure.
Clerical Volunteers and Inventory Volunteers must complete a volunteer application, 3 hours of orientation training,
a background check, obtain three positive references and proof of residency.
Special Event Volunteers must complete a volunteer application and short questionnaire regarding committee preference
and special skills.
Student Opportunities
Student Volunteer Service Projects consist of a 20-hour, week long program allowing youth in the community to complete
service projects for are high schools. The student must be at least sophomore status and 15 years old to participate.
Students must fill out an application and complete a short training course on the first day. Students work daily in a
different department, including Education, Family, Programming, Facilities, Marketing and Development throughout the
week. School credit must be given for this project.
