Christy and her husband Zach were seeking services for their three children in order to secure housing and avoid an eviction or homelessness. Christy needed to begin working and Zach needed to continue working so they could found a new home.
During the service period Christy met with a social worker twice a week for case management and parent education. She also completed a family trauma screening as well as a Trauma Symptom Inventory-2 Assessment for herself in order to get a better idea of her trauma symptoms. Their oldest daughter was also transported to and from school daily by Providence House staff utilizing the Providence House vans.
Christy and Zach were very responsive when childcare staff would call regarding their children being sick and they always picked them up and took them to the emergency room when needed. While their children were at Providence House, Christy and Zach were able to secure a new home for their family and never missed a family preservation meeting or a visit with their children. They are now enrolled in the 6-month aftercare program. Back to Stories
